Pill help

I am on Birth Control to regulate my periods and fix my acne. I have been on the pill for about over a year now. When I went to my gyn in Sept. she changed my brand of pill to help me with my PMS and my acne. So far I have been on it for about 2 months now. Last month I did not get a period at all, which according to the packaging info is normal. Now this week I thought I was just spotting, but it seems more like I have a very light light period, which to me is odd, since I am still taking the regular pills and not the sugar pills. I am/was suppposed to get my period next week. So now I am confused. Is my body just adjusting to the new hormones? Usually I am very regular with the pills, and I never forget to take one. My periods are very regular too. I am going to call my gyn on Monday, after the holidays, but for right now, any info will help.

Thanks,

B

It could be that this is still an adjustment to the new pill and also related to your not having a period during your last pack. I'm assuming you went to a higher-progestin pill? That can be the case sometimes. Usually a good rule of thumb is to give a new pills 2-4 months before you make any judgments about it, as it can take that long to really get the bugs worked out. Hormones are so hard to work with because everybody's are different and they never just change overnight.

Good luck!
