Yeah, people do get pregnant on Depo and on birth control pills. No method of birth control, except for abstinence, is 100% effective.

It could be difficult to tell the different between side effects and pregnancy symptoms. There really isn`t much difference between the two sometimes. The best thing I can tell you is, if you feel that you might be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test or go to your doctor or a local health clinic and get them to do a blood-drawn pregnancy test. The presence of the Depo in your system won`t change the results of the test, since pregnancy tests detect a different kind of hormone than is present in the shot. If you are pregnant and are far enough along to feel symptoms, then a home pregnancy test should be able to give you a correct reading.

Your chances of pregnancy on Depo are very slim, however. My bet is that you may just be experiencing side effects. It never hurts to test, though. Recently I tested because I was a little worried and it came out negative. A little home testing can help to ease your mind. If it does come out negative and you`re still experiencing symptoms in the coming weeks, I would definitely get in touch with your doctor, though.

I hope you get the answers that you`re looking for!
