Olivia Sophia has Arrived!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to update you. I am still so sore from the c-section. The c-section didn't go as planned. The spinal never took above my tailbone so I needed to be knocked out completely. Sadly, Henry wasn't allowed in the room b/c I was knocked out. They did however bing him in to cut the cord. So that was nice. The c-section took alot longer then what it should have. They made the incision too small and ended up neede to use the vaccum on Olivia to get her out. When I woke up, the morphine didn't take either. I ended up in the ICU and on 3 different pain meds and didn't get relief until about 4hrs after surgery. So I went in for surgery at 3:30pm but didn't get out of recovery until 9pm that night. BUT...It was all worth it. I just love her so much.

She was born at 4:53pm wighing 6lbs 5oz and 20 1/2 inches long. I think she looks just like her daddy and most people agree with me. She is just so darling and she takes my breath away. Here is the link to some of our photos. We will upload more later. Olivia has jaundice so she currently is under double phototherapy. Sh has taken to breastfeeding really well. I thought I wouls have had a problem. She just keeps amazing me even more every day.

Enjoy the pictures and I can't wait to hear about all of your birth stories.

Welcome to the world Olivia!!!!!!!

I was really starting to wonder about you, but now I definitely understand. Sorry you had such a rough go of things. It is wierd in reading all the birth stories how often things don't go as planned.

She is beautiful though and it is easily understood why you are so in awe of her.

Well congrats Mommy and I hope to see you at the parenting after stillbirth/infant loss board.

Now rest up, it sounds like you need it. :)
