If you don`t start on the first day of your period, you`re not considered protected from pregnancy until you`ve taken seven pills, consecutively and correctly. So, yes, you are at risk for pregnancy. I think that your risk is pretty low, considering you`d taken 6 pills but no one can really say how much of a risk you have. I`m sorry that I can`t offer a better answer, hon. Although I do feel that your risk of pregnancy is low, just keep an eye on your period at the end of the month. It can show up anywhere from day 2 to day 5, usually, while on the placebos. If you don`t have one, I would definitely use a home pregnancy test. I think, though, that your period should show up - you just cut it very close to time so it`s hard to say for sure.

This board recommends using back up protection, like a condom, for not just the first week of pills but for the whole first month, so that you don`t get that "Eeek! Am I pregnant?" scare if your period doesn`t come when you expect it to.

Hi roxy,

Depending on where you live, you can get Plan B. It is NOT an abortion pill, just a mega dose of birth control pill. If you are already preg it won't help, but if you're not, it will make hormones spike as to make uterus unfriendly for implantation. Plan B is available at Planned Parenthood. One word of caution; can make you vomit and sickly as is high dose!!!

Good luck,
Sarah:)

Unfortunately, it`s been so long since the act in question - Saturday night - that Plan B would probably be useless. The closer it`s been to the act in question, the more effective it is at preventing implantation. The time window is only 72 hours, or yesterday at the latest.

well i took all white seven pills, the last white pill was taken on saturday i guess that i should rephrase that the pill package says to wait seven exact days until the next sunday and thats when the blue pills start. so i took the first seven white pills on time.
