spotting after sex

Somettimes I experience alittle spotting after sex. I don't think its anything serious b/c I had my exam recently and everything came back normal. I was wondering what could be the cause, and is there anything I can do?

Rough sex and having your cervix bumped by your guy`s penis can both cause spotting. It`s not usually considered anything serious if it`s just a little spotting and since you`ve had your exam recently, I don`t see that it`s anything to be concerned about.
If it`s bothering you to spot, maybe you should look into using a lube, like Astroglide, while having intercourse. It can make things easier and irritate your vaginal walls less, which may help to prevent spotting. Maybe trying different positions would help - notice if you are more likely to spot after intercourse is in certain positions where it is more easy for him to hit your cervix. There`s really no sure-fire cure, though.
I get that too sometimes. I talked to my gyn about it at my last annual--since everything looks normal and I am not at risk for STD's (one cause of post-coital spotting), he's fine with it. Sometimes the pill can make the cells on the cervix more fragile.
It might not hurt to make a phone call, or just keep an eye on it until your next occasion to visit your friendly neighborhood gyn!
