Yasmin and acne problems?

I started Yasmin to regulate my period and help my acne. It's been 9 months now and my skin looked great. I didn't even break out during my periods, but now, all of a sudden my skin is back to the way it was (bad) and I'm still on the pill. Have any of you experienced a time when your skin was good then bad while still on the pill?

I've also been using proactive. My skin was really clear for 8 months, so what happened? has this happened to anyone else? thanks

'Bump' Yasmin or other pill users?

If it was me being my usual, overly worried self, I would get a hormone check (especially if you are mid twenties or older).

I've never had problems with acne (just the normal stuff--nothing worth seeing a derm over), but periodically my face will break out for no apparent reason. I haven't quite figured out why that happens to me, but I figure it's not something hormonal because my hormones have given me no indication that they're unstable or changing (I use Nuvaring, have for 2 years, and the pill for 6 years before that). No unusual breast swelling or tenderness, my periods are exactly the same as they have been...

If your periods aren't any different, it might be not related to the hormones? I know it's probably not the answer you were looking for, but I hope at least my experience was sort of helpful....

Good luck!

I have not been on Yasmin, but I did use ProActiv for awhile. The ProActiv cleared up my skin amazingly for about a year and then all of the sudden it quit working and my skin had terrible breakouts. I had to switch to a new skin care regiment to get my acne back under control. So maybe it isn't the Yasmin, but the Proactiv? Just a thought.
