intercourse when break-through bleeding?

Hi I am wondering whether one can have intercourse when there is break-through bleeding?

Hmmm...do you mean if it`s healthy or physically possible to have sex while experiencing break through bleeding (btb) or if you`re protected against pregnancy?
As long as you`ve been using your method of birth control consistently and correctly and are having btb, yes, it`s safe to have sex. BTB doesn`t decrease your protection against pregnancy, it`s just shedding of a little bit of your endometrium because it`s unstable. If you have a chronic problem with btb and it becomes an annoyance for you, you might want to look to change your method to one with a higher dose of hormones, that can help with endometrium stability.
If your question was about the first one up there, it`s perfectly fine to have sex while you`re having btb or even your period. For some people, it`s taboo and not really a savory idea. If it`s just a little bit of btb, it`s not really a big deal, as far as a "mess" factor or something. You could always use a towel beneath and dim the lights or use candles. It`s certainly not a bad thing, just part of the many changes our bodies go through - and that we put them through! :)
