I am on a 28 day cycle. I take BCP. I missed my pill on the 11th and 12th of Nov. And my last period started Oct.31. So, is it possible that I could have conceived by missing those pills? Me and my guy have sex pretty much everyday, using no other form of BC.After missing those pills I picked up from where I left off. So, should I be ok or what? I am supposed to start the 28th so...I read on my pill pack that I could be.Thanks for any input that you may have. I am just really confused.

Sorry to be kind of dire, but, yes, you do have a chance for pregnancy. Missing two, or even missing one pill, can put you at risk.

When you miss a pill, you need to use back-up protection, like a condom, for the next seven days. When you miss a pill (or pills), your body may ovulate and the egg can hang around in your fallopian tube for a few days, waiting to get fertilized. So it`s a pretty critical period to utilize another method of BC if you really want to prevent pregnancy.

Sorry that I can`t be more helpful and put your mind at ease. Hopefully you`ll get the result you want out of this!

Hi krisas2004, welcome!

I have to agree with Lena that you may be at risk. If missing 2 pills caused you to become fertile and ovulate then sperm can live in your fertile cervical fluid for up to 5 days waiting for your egg to appear. If you miss pills you should take them as soon as you realize you are late and then use back-up for at least the next 7 days of correct active pill use. Too much time has passed for EC to be effective so the only thing to do now is wait for Aunt Flo to arrive. If you are having trouble remembering to take your pills you can set the alarm on a watch or a reminder message on your cell phone, PDA or computer to remind you at pill time. Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Good luck and hugs,
