When we worship and praise God in times of crisis, it keeps our mind at peace. It keeps us focused on what God will do for us instead of what the Devil is trying to do! If we don't control our thoughts, the Devil will drive us crazy with worry. Thoughts can be like a little television inside our brain. We're always seeing pictures of something in there. And if we aren't running pictures of praise—pictures of what God has promised to do, pictures of past victories—the Devil will surely make us watch some programs he put together.
So praise Him for what He has promised to do and for what He has already done. Remember all the marvelous things God has done for us in the past and all the promises He has given in the Bible. We can call those things to account by acknowledging them with our mouth and each time we do it, it rekindles our faith.
