Hey everybody, I'm new to this but I have a question and would appreciate any answers!
I started taking Nortrel 1/35, the generic form of Ortho-Novum in January. About two weeks into the first pack I had a little breakthrough bleeding that only lasted a couple hours. After that, during the placebo week, I had a much lighter period than I normally have. I used junior tampons that I have never ever used before because my bleeding was so light. During the second month I did not miss any pills at all. I also had no breakthrough bleeding. On Monday I started cramping slightly like I did the month before (I took the first placebo on Sunday night). I did not however start my period like I expected. It never came at all. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday (almost a full week after I should have gotten my period) because I was a little scared. That was negative. I have since started my third month of active pills. I took another pregnancy test on Monday and that too was negative. I was just wondering if I should be worried about pregnancy. I took the pills the EXACT way I'm supposed to! (I even set my cell phone alarm to go off every evening when I need to take it.) I didn't know if maybe a missed period was possible during the first few months or not.

Thanks for your help!!!

Yes, missed periods are possible when you switch pills or start the pill!
