Hi, my name is Lisa and i am 22. My DB is in the army and stationed in Washington State at the moment, and i am planning on going to visit him for easter weekend as well as our 4 month anniversary. My problem is that i will be at the really not so good last leg of Aunt flo. My question is this, I am on the ortho-evra patch, instead of having that one week off, could i put another patch on and ward off aunt flo for an extra week so as not to interupt my plans?
Thank you
Lisa/IL

Hi nyema83, welcome!

Yes, you can do that. Another option you might want to consider, if you have time, is having that 4 patch cycle ahead of when you are on your trip. That way, if things don't go as well as you had hoped during the extra week, you will have moved your period out of the way before you are traveling.
Once you move your period by one week you will have two patches left over to use as spares or to have more 4 patch cycles. You should not try to use them for a 2 patch cycle because Ortho Evra wasn't tested or approved for effectiveness using only 2 weeks of hormones.
Thanks for posting. Let us know what you decide and how skipping on the patch works for you, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
Thank you.
Basically this is hw it works
This is april now
i will take off patch 3 on april 5(wed) but would normally start about saturday(8). I"m going out there on the 13 or 14th of april and staying till monday.
Its too late to try to change the cycle.
