Period after Plan B?

To make a long story stort, I took Plan B this month after my ring fell out during sex. Now I know this was probably completely unneccesary (it was out for about 10 minutes) but my gyno recommended I do it for peace of mind.. so anyway, I ended up taking it.
I'm still on my Nuva Ring and I'm not due to take it out until this Sunday. I took Plan B once a couple of years ago and I remember that I spotted a lot before my period. I have had no spotting or anything... sometimes I feel crampy like my body wants to bleed, but it's not. My question is, is it normal to not get my period until after I remove the ring (per usual) even though I have read and experienced that your normally bleed early after taking Plan B?
If it makes any difference, I took the two pills only a few hours apart because I took the first one late in the afternoon, and 12 hours later would have been 3:30 in the morning. My pharmacist said this was ok, as I didn't experience any nausea or anything after taking the first pill.
Sorry for the length, but thank you!

Hi lola722, welcome!
I think it will depend on how your body reacts to the combined hormones from Plan B and the ring as to exactly what happens. What you have experienced so far is within the 'normal' range. Sometimes a woman will have early bleeding after taking EC or her period might be early or late. Any of those things are within the normal range. Since you only had your ring out for a few minutes you shouldn't have any worry about an unintended pregnancy so I'm betting you're fine. Just take things a day at a time and see when Aunt Flow arrives.
Thanks for posting. If you have more questions, please ask. Let us know when AF arrives and how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
I think it was ok, I'd go with what your pharmacist said, and like I posted before from what you wrote (that your ring was out for only a few minutes) you should have been very safe without plan B.
Let us know when AF shows up, ok?
Take care,
Jill
Hi lola722, welcome back
If it has been 19 days since your ring slipped out I don't think the bleeding was from implantation. Actually, since the ring was out for only a few minutes I don't think you were in any danger at all. Because of the small amount of estrogen in NuvaRing the periods of many women using it are lighter than their natural periods or when using other hormonal methods and since you took Plan B that could be having some effect too. I'm betting Aunt Flo is visiting.
Thanks for the update. If you have more questions, please ask. Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing, ok?
Take care,
Jill
