Starting Seasonale

After reading through a few message postings, i was (delightfully) surprised how helpful this message board is, so i thought i'd give this a try.
I have been using birth control medications for nearly six years now, to help manage my severe Endometriosis and the heavy bleeding and severe pain that comes with it. For the last three or four years i've been taking Ortho-Evra (the patch) but before Ortho Evra i was on Estrostep FE and i also tried Nuva Ring for six months. I reacted well to all my medications (except that the Nuva Ring kept falling out, which is why i went off of it, but i had no problems with the hormones themselves).
My mother was pushing me to go off the Ortho Evra because of the associated blot clot/heart attack risks which have been hitting the news recently (even though i'm under 25, non smoker, in excellent shape and no history of blood clots or chest pains). I decided to give Seasonale a try, since the idea of having four periods a year appeals to me. I thought i did enough research on the medication, and i had my doctor write me a script and like an idiot, i spent $100 and bought the stuff. However, after reading from horror story from other seasonale takers about how frequent and how heavy the breakthrough bleeding is, i'm a bit hesitant and concerned about taking it. I haven't started the medication yet.
Is there anything i can do to reduce the risk of breakthrough bleeding while i'm on seasonale? Does the fact that i've been on previous forms of birth control reduce or increase the chance of breakthrough bleeding? Can i stop seasonale if there's too much blood? Does everyone experience heavy breakthrough bleeding?
Any info would help so much!!!
Thanks!!!
