Break through bleeding

I just had a basic question about break through bleeding. I take my pill packs back to back and have never had break through bleeding until my last cycle. Once you experience break through bleeding is it assumed that you always will? I read this post (below) that made me wonder....

Does that mean that once BTB starts, it won't end until I start my actual period? Will I always experience BTB since I experienced it during my last cycle? Will I be forced to take fewer packs (active pills) back to back? Or, which is understandable, will it vary cycle to cycle, making it hard to know whether I will experience it again or not? Just curious..I know that was a lot of questions but I just thought I would see what you guys think.

In general (I think I wrote that paragraph), that's the way it works that once bleeding starts, it will continue until you hit an inactive week and "reset" your uterus.
