Moving period...just started pills

I posted on here last summer about moving my period because it was scheduled to start during my vacation. Well, once again, it is scheduled to start the week I have decided to take my vacation. I went off the pills for several months and just recently started taking Ovcon 35 again (that is what I was on last year). My vaca is May 26-June 2 and I am getting ready to start week 2 of my first pack of pills. I am scheduled to have my next period at the end of April. Do you think it would be ok to try and move my period so that it will start a week or two before I go on vacation? Will it be less effective since I just started taking pills again? I would greatly appreciate any input!

Thanks!
Kristen

>>You do have the option of just taking an extra 1 or 2 weeks of pills instead of a whole pack if that's all you need. It won't affect your protection against pregnancy to add more active weeks, just don't subtract any!<<

I'm a bit confused on what you mean?

Do you think it would be best to move my next period (this will be my 2nd period since starting back on the pill a week ago) to the middle of May or, instead, keep taking active pills the week of my vacation and try to move it to after I get back?

Boy, this can get confusing!

Thanks for the help!

I would try to move your period as early as possible (this period into the middle of May, not the one during your vacation into the middle of June) because you always run the risk of breakthrough bleeding when you extend a cycle.

Ok, I think I get it now :)
Now my next question. Do you recommend I move my period to the week of May 7 (7-13 inactive week)? Or the week of May 14 (14-20 inactive week)? The first option I will skip the inactives on my current pack and take 2 weeks of active pills on my next pack, right? If I do the latter then I would skip my inactive week on my current pack and immediately start my next pack and take all the actives in it, correct? Which do you recommend? Thanks for being so helpful!!!

I think I am going to shoot for the week of May 7 to have my period. That way if there are any issues (crossing my fingers here) hopefully they will be worked out by the time I leave for vacation on May 26. Plus, I'll have those extra pills like you said in case I want to move my period again or lose a pill, etc. What do you think? Thanks for all your help...I really appreciate it!

P.S. I've been having what I guess would be spotting or BTB all week long. I guess this is normal since I just went back on the pill? In the past I've never had a problem with BTB. I have been taking my pills at the same time every day except on Saturday I was a little late. Could that make me spot all week long? Should I be worried?
