Should I take EC? Help!

Hi all,
OK - I usually take my pill around 11 p.m. every night. Well, it's been a crazy weekend and so I've been a little less careful with taking my pill - I haven't missed any but have taken them maybe an hour/hour and a half later than I usually do. I had sex earlier this afternoon and just now when I went to the bathroom I noticed a little bit of spotting. I've heard of something called "implantation spotting" and I'm really nervous. Should I call my doc in the morning and try and get the morning after pill? I don't know if this is just BTB because I've been taking my pill at weird time, or I'm just bleeding because I had, um, "rougher" sex today. Any advice?
Thanks!

Hi MS, welcome back!

It could be either one or both, but if I had to guess I'd pick rougher sex. This board considers on-time to be +/-2 hours of your regular time so I think a little btb because of irregular pill times isn't likely. A little bleeding isn't all that unusual after intercourse for women on the pill so I’m betting that's what's happened. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Thanks for stopping by. Let us know how you're doing.
Take care,
Jill
I agree with Jill--it could either be from a little bit of irregular timing
