Am I just really paranoid?

Hey everyone! I've been on Seasonale for a little over a year and a half now. A few weeks ago, I had a doctor's appointment where the assistant gave me a pill. He called it an antibiotic, but the name that he gave me is of an allergy pill. I know that antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of birth control, so that kind of has me worried, because I'm not sure if he was wrong about the name or the antibiotic part. But, the only reason that I'm worried is a stupid one, I'll admit. I usually start spotting about two weeks before my placebo week. I'm a little over a week and a half away from my period now, and I'm still not spotting yet. Is that even any cause for alarm, or am I just freaking myself out for nothing? Thank you so much for any help that you can offer.

Can you tell us what it was?

Thanks for your response. He told me that it was Loratadine, which I found out is the generic form of Claritin. Although this is not an antibiotic, he was under the impression that it was, so I'm not sure what to believe.

If you look up "loratadine" or "Claritin" on the internet, you'll find that it's an antihistamine, not an antibiotic.
