Nuva Ring failure, cyst?

Hello-
I hope this is the right community for this type of question. I'm trying to reassure myself and figure out what is going on! I am on the Nuva Ring and acheive "perfect" usage... I don't take it out, I put it in on the right days, etc. The past two weeks I have felt SO off. My breasts are extremely tender, my lower back hurts, I am naseated about 90% of the time, and I have a bad cramp on my right side, around where my right ovary is.
I should have no reason to think that I am pregnant, but I can't think of an explanation for these symptoms. I took a pregnancy test both 18 and 21 days after I had sex, and they were both negative. From everything I've read, that should have been enough time for an accurate result. I'm not expecting my period until Thursday, so I won't have 'confirmation' until then.
The only other thing I can think of is a cyst, since it feels a lot like when I had a cyst before. Last time I developed one from going off birth control, but since I'm on a lower dose BC, I'm thinking it could have happened again. Could a cyst be responsible for these symptoms?
I am getting an IUD inserted at the end of this week, and since pregnancy is just not an option right now, it's something that I would like to get figured out. Can I rest assured with the results of those tests? Should I call my doctor? I'm not sure where to go from here.
Thank you very much in advance!

Hi abrown0517, welcome!
Jill
I just finished my 5th month on the Ring. The reason I am switching to an IUD is because I have always had terrible side effects on hormonal birth control. I can't think of anything that would have changed to make me feel off this month. My diet, medications, etc. are pretty much the same.
I really don't want to blow another $14 on a pregnancy test since I've already taken two of my own and one at the doctor's when I went in for my IUD consultation. I have had a blood pg test done with my gyno before and it's kind of a hassle (you have to go to the hospital, fill out tons of paperwork, etc. etc.) When I go in on Thursday and they sound my uterus, would they be able to tell if I was pregnant? I am due for my period the morning of my IUD insertion.
I feel like I am being overly paranoid since the chances are extremely slim, but I can't shake the feeling that something is up because of these wacky symptoms.
I know… sometimes we all have an off cycle! I wasn’t suggesting that you spring for another home test kit, but I do think you should ask your doctor about your situation before you go for the IUD insertion. You probably aren’t pg, but if you were I think it would depend how long you had been pg before it would show on a u/s. As part of the routine procedure they may give you another urine pg test before insertion but you really don’t want to spring an “Oh, by the way, I think I may be pg.” on your doc at the last minute. If Aunt Flo arrives when you expect her that’s great! But
