About 2 weeks ago I missed two pills in a row, so on the saturday and sunday I took two pills each day as directed (I'm on ortho cyclin), however, that sunday my period started and I continued taking my pills just as it says. I've now had my period for 11 days (!), it was really heavy at first, my now it's light...this is reallllly annoying, as I've been on the same pill for about 20 months now, what's going on?

Since you forgot 2 active pills, it's pretty likely your body got out of whack - which often causes break through bleeding. It may take a month or so for your body to get back on track (though it may be less or more - it really varies with each woman). I would suggest continuing to take your pills as prescribed - regardless of whether or not you're bleeding. If the bleeding doesn't stop or gets worse over the next few weeks - definitely time to see the doctor. Otherwise - chalk it up to your hormones getting out of whack.

I agree--a lot of women start bleeding when they forget a couple of pills (or some women with just one pill).
