Side Effects from Stopping BCP

Does anyone out there have insights about getting off the pill? I stopped taking the pill about 6 weeks ago and I threw on 7 pounds the first two weeks, feeling bloated, terrible stomach ache all of the time...Do these symptoms pass with time? I have taken the pill for almost 20 years...and I am only 33.

Hi luckycar, welcome!
Jill
I've been off of hormonal birth control for almost 2 months now after being on for 9 years, and according to my last doctor visit, I could expect it to take another couple of months for my body to get itself sorted out.
Hi there...I'm 27 years old, mother of two girls, youngest is 14 months old. I have been on the pill since my youngest was born and stopped the pill about 2 months ago. Reasons for doing that is trying to loose weight and go all-natural...our contrceptive is condomes and we are hoping that'll prevent us from another baby. Anyways, I stopped my pill about 2 months ago, like I was saying, and had a regular period in March and in April, both started on the 14th and ended around the 19th. So I wrote down in my calendar and penciled it in for May 14th so I'll know when to expect it.
Well, not even a week after my April period I had been feeling nauseaded, tired, low energy, and puny. So I thought for sure I was pregnant because I was feeling all of these symptoms, but couldn't figure out how I would be if I just came off of my period, and had been using condoms except for one time, which was exactly a week before I started in April, but DH withdrew before orgasm. And the weird thing about these symptoms was the nauseau only happened when I ate, not when I was hungry like with both of my first two pregnancies.
Then on April 30th, I had been having light cramps...and I thought, "Great, now I know I'm really pregnant..." because that's exactly what I had felt with my first two. Well, the night of April 30th, I went to go pee and noticed blood in my undies. So I wrote that down in my calendar, for just in case reasons, and thought this is just really weird. Then the next day I had no bleeding like the day before but went ahead and took precausions and used tampons. That night I went to change my last tampon before bed and had some light bleeding again. It's now two days later, I'm still cramping, still having light bleeding, still tired and feeling nauseaded at times, and still I'm not supposed to start until May 14th. So could I, could I not be pregnant...anyone know, understand or have experienced what is going on with me.
My husband thinks it's all stress from my two girls not sleeping through the night and me getting no sleep, stress from my college classes, job, family feuds...etc. Could these influences plus me stopping the pill 2 months ago affect my body freaking out like it has been, or am I pregnant...I don't want to take a test yet, because I'm still not sure what to do about that Expected Period on May 14th. Can anyone help me out here??? I'd appreciate it.

Kinda lurking. I also wanted to point out that a couple of my doctor's told me that it can take 3-6 months for your body to get back to "normal" AND this is important, the type of periods you had WAY WAY back then, may not be the same as today.
Women's periods change with time, some do, some don't. Some have major changes, some minor. I went off BCP's after 10 years, and my normal (from the time I was young) every month same day (consistent) heavy long lasting, crampy, moody, etc periods, went to heavy long lasting, crampy, moody, etc, but the MAIN difference was that I was no longer regular. My periods were all over the calendar. sucked.
Anyhow. So, just know, give your body some time to get it all out of the system and find it's normal rhythm. However, also realize, what you're experiencing now, COULD be normal.
