stopping my period

I have a question about stopping our period with the use of birth control. I am currently on birth control and I got my period today. I just found out that there is an event coming up on Friday as well as my long distance boyfriend coming to visit. I have heard from a few people that your period can be stopped if you skip the placebo pills and start the next week. My question is, will this work for me even though my period has started today? Are there any other options I have to make this weekend successful?

Yes, Instead can be used during intercourse. You would want to empty it first so it is less likely to leak. How well Instead will work for you and whether your partner can feel it depends on your and your partner's anatomies. I used Instead for a few days to see how I liked it (I usually use a fitted diaphragm for flow control and contraception during menses) and it worked well enough for me. Other members have posted about their Instead experiences. Some found it easy to use and liked it, for others it leaked a bit. I don't think we have had
