I have a quick question about Seasonal birth control pills. I know that they stop your period and you only have one once every three months. But, I am wondering if the PMS symptoms stop as well. I've tried looking online to find the answer but am not getting any luck. Hearing it from someone with personal experience with it might be better anyway. Thanks so much.

Hi, I started using Seasonal about 5 months ago, after being on the patch for over a year, and depo for 4 years. I have to say out of all of them, seasonal has had less side effects. I do feel that my pms has been better too. I don't believe I have had any mood swings, I have had no cramps, and my period is lighter. The only thing I do hate about seasonal is that it is a pill and you have to remember to take it every day around the same time. I have gotten better at it though.
You should definatley talk to your doctor about it, and even just give it a try for 2 months. Everyones body reacts to birth control differently, so what side effects I don't have, you might have. Only your body can tell you if seasonal is right for you.

Thanks for much for your insight and for being honest. I've been on ortho-tri-cyclen for about 2 years so I know what you mean about remembering to take the pill at the same time every day. What I do in order to remember to take it, is set an alarm on my cell phone to go off everyday. It has really helped me alot. Pick a time that you aren't usually busy and can easily take it. Maybe this will work for you?

I will defintely talk to my doctor about this. Thanks again!
