What bc pills are best for Acne?

I have been off birth control pills for two years and I would like to go back on them. I have previously taken Alesse, Tri-Cyclen, and Diane-35. I didn't like Alesse or Tri-Cyclen and I know that doctors will not put you on Diane-35 anymore unless you have severe cases of acne. I also didn't like Tri-Cylclen because my hormones were out of whack and I had horrible mood swings!

Can anyone tell me what birth control pills they have taken that helped clear up their acne? I don't have severe acne on my face but rather a mild case of it. Thanks!

Most birth control pills should help with acne simply because they reduce the production of testosterone by the ovaaries and cause more binding of the free testosterone in your bloodstream (compared with not taking the pill).

In the US, Estrostep has also been able to claim that it helps with mild to moderate acne (extra testing to satisfy our FDA is all that took).

I am on the patch -ORTHO EVRA and found that my skin cleared up about a month after starting it. It contains the same progrestin as Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo.
