I just started on ovcon two months ago after being on orthro tricyclin lo for at least 5 years. After suffering some side effects; such as sore breats and such I switched to ovcon. Last month I got my period about 2 days early before the placebo pill. This month on the thursday of the second week of the active pill I spotting heavily for four days, but not really bleeding. The week before my period I felt like I was going to get it every day, with the cramps and such??? Now it is almost Wednesday of the placebo pill and I haven't started bleeding yet? Although chances are I might with in the next few days. I was wondering if changing pills can throw my cycle off so much. I'm having more severve symptoms now, and I feel more depressed than normal and changing pills is the only reason I can think of with having MAJOR mood swings. This pill is driving me nuts and I was wondering if anyone has had these symptoms on this pill or know if changing to a steady hormone pill instead of different hormone each week will effect these symptoms and mood swings?

Yes, changing pills can change your bleeding patterns quite significantly, especially with as much of a change as there is between OTC Lo and Ovcon 35.

Thank you so much for your input. I felt like I had no where to turn. My emotions have been like a rollercoaster and I was always perfectly chilled out. I'm going to call my doctor and see if they will change it sooner than later, thanks again:)
