changing BC times mid-pack

I'm on my third week of pills (Lo/Ovral) and since the weekend began, I've taken them late. I normally take them at noon, but I forgot until 6 on Saturday, 9 on Sunday, 8 on Monday and 7 today (Tuesday). I had sex on Sunday, but we used the sponge. I recently had cervical cryosurgery just over a month ago, so I hate the thought of more weeks of celibacy. Can I consider this a time switch, take them in the evenings for the rest of this week, go off for a week, and be protected again immediately upon beginning the next pack? I know a lot of doctors consider a pill missed if it's 12 hours late, and none of these were...

(Of course, I remembered them perfectly for the month that I wasn't allowed to have any sex!)

Thanks in advance!

So, I changed my times for the final week of my period (still managed to miss one pill-- I am going to discuss the patch or ring or something with my doc). Also used a sponge and withdrawal for the times we had sex.

Now, though, I'm having a lighter than normal period. It's not particularly light, as I did (sorry to get gross) soak a couple of super plus tampons during the second day, but I usually go through a lot more of them than that; it also started about a day later than normal and is lasting closer to 5 days rather than 7-8. I've taken two HPTs and they were both negative. I noticed what may have been some spotting on the sponge, but nothing major. Had cramps and haven't had any other early pregnancy symptoms. The other factor here is that I had cryo for cervical carcinoma about 2 months ago. My period immediately after was heavy, but I know that's to be expected. Could that have something to do with this lighter one? I can't tell if I'm being paranoid and overly worried that it could be early signs of a pregnancy...

I am new to Lo/Ovral (on 3rd pack). How do you like them overall? How do they make you feel?

Thanks!

It's really been so long since I started them (about 10 years ago) that I'm not sure what I'm like when I'm off of them! I don't recall any major side effects, though I started them when I moved away to college-- so I've always just associated any weight changes and mood swings with the life change and not the pill.

Overall I've liked it, I guess...
