I still can't believe I did this, but I took my pill about 10 hours late yesterday. I normally take it at 7:00am everyday, but I forgot and the next opportunity to take it was at 5:30pm that same day. I took the next pill at the regular time this morning.
I checked the info for Necon 1/35 and it says if you miss one pill take it as soon as possible and the next one at the regular time, back up is not necessary.
I know the board says to use back up for seven days regardless. I have a few questions though?

Should we use back up for the remainder of the week?

Also, I start the placebo pills next week. Should I continue to use back up when I start a new pack?

We had sex the morning I forgot the pill (6:30am), would that be considered unprotected sex?

Thanks!

Thanks! The pill that I missed was day 1 of the third week, by the end of this week it would be the complete 7. Should I still go into a new pack anyway?

I don't know that you need to start a new pack next week if you'll have a full seven days of pills on time before you stop.

**I don't know that you need to start a new pack next week if you'll have a full seven days of pills on time before you stop. While 10 hours is a miss (anything over 8 is a miss), it's not a complete blowout and the directions with most pills don't direct you to start a new pack unless you've missed three pills in a row. If you feel iffy about it, you could keep to your same pill schedule and use backup for your placebo week too.**

So if I use back up during the placebo week, I won't need back up when I start a new pack?
Or should I continue back up the first week of the new pack as well?

Sorry for being insane about this!

Thanks!

That's what I thought. My husband thinks it's a bit much and wanted me to call the doctor. He doesn't like the idea of using condoms from now until almost the end of June.
I'm going to stick to the regular schedule and use back up.

Thanks for your help!
