Effect of Heat on Birth Control Pills?

Hi there, I had a question about heat and the pills: the other day I took the pills to the beach with me (I had them in my purse) for about 3 hours, where temperatures outside were around 75-80 degrees. Storage instructions say to keep them between 59 and 86 degrees, but temperatures may have actually been warmer if I was at the beach. Would the heat have altered their effectiveness?
Also, how hot can the trunk of a car get? I left some unopened packages in my luggage for a couple hours (from 7PM-11PM), where temperatures were around 60-65 degrees. Would being in the trunk have made my luggage hotter and thus lowered the effectiveness of pills?
I've called my doctor and she said there is probably no effect (but she wasn't positive), but I wanted to get a second opinion.
Thanks so much!

Hi
