i am wondering if anyone has ever had BC pills causing pain during intercourse. I hope this isn't TMI but it is NOT vulvar or vaginal pain. it is limited strictly to my cervix. during sex there is no pain until he is all the way in. i don't know how else to explain it, i'm sorry. i've had several responses saying maybe it's endometriosis, or vulvo... something or other. any response would be appreciated.

Did you have this problem before you went on birth control, or did you only start having sex after you went on birth control?

I would agree with Janet, it's important to look at when the painful sensations started in relation to the pill or in relation to being with your current partner and if there are times when they are less painful or more painful.

when i was on the patch there was no pain at all. however my doc advised me of the increased risks with the patch and how much estrogen i was getting. then she put me on yasmin. i believe the pain started then. after a few months with the pain, mood swings and being sick all the time my doc put me back on low ogstrel. i've only been on it a few days, but hopefully this will be better. i have been with my patrner for the duration of my BC switches. the only time sex absolutely did not hurt was on a vacation in las vegas, which my doc said was probably because of the alcohol deadening my nerves a bit and helping me relax. this is so frustrating.

I hope this new BC solves the problem.
