Hello everyone! After 5 years on BC, a terrible experience all the way around, I have finally decided to fore go the pills, patches, shots, etc. and try and become pregnant. I am very excited and happy, but am having a little trouble. After posting on the BC board several times before, I realize that break through, irregular bleeding, and what not is completely normal, and often, there isn't a darn thing that can be done about it. So, the purpose of my post is simple. If anyone out there has similar experiences to mine, if they wouldn't mind shedding some light on how long it took to become "normal" again, it would be greatly appreciated.
A little background on me, so that those who care to share, know if my history is comprable to their's...
I began on Estrostep FE, and after several succesful months on this pill (9 or 10) I began experiencing break through bleeding. Then I was switched to Ortho Tri Cyclen,I had break through bleeding for the first month. I was young and beyond frustrated so I probably didn't give this pill a fair chance, quitting it only after a month. I think I was then put on Yasmin, which was a similar experience to the Ortho Tri Cyclen. I finally started the patch, which I loved, except for the vomitting on the first day of my new cycle. I was able to skip my periods for months at a time, but eventually got tired of the icky ring on my rear and the fact that it would move, or come off. At this point I wasn't sexually active, so I went without BC for a month, and was completely regular. My period came and went, as it was supposed to. At the end of my next cycle, being sexually active again, I decided to switch to Depo mid January of 2006. I Hated it! I read awful things about it on the internet the day AFTER I received my shot (teaches me when to do my research!!!) So, last March I was due for my next depo shot and decided to go back to the patch instead. It's been the only thing that didn't cause break through, allowed me to skip periods, so on and so forth. I was on it until May 27. I removed it, got my period on June 1, and decided at this time to try and conceive, so I did not reapply my patch. I've been on my period for over two weeks now, and I'm just wondering how long it might take me to get back to "normal?" How long it takes to ovulate after events like these? What's the average, given other women's experiences. I understand that I am going to have to be patient and wait it out, just let my body get back to itself. Who knows? Maybe I will be lucky and conceive before that ever happens. But, I'm anxious to start my family, so if anyone could share their similar experiences I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for all your support and keep your fingers crossed for me. THANKS!!!

It changes from person to person, so it's hard to say.
Hi dear2004, welcome!
