Skipping and Problems

I've used my bc to skip once before with some spotting. I wasn't sure if it was due to the fact that I'm on a tri-phasic (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo), or that it was my first time, or if it was due to the antibiotics I was on for a UTI. I can't remember if it worked the second month or not.

I'm currently trying to skip again so that I will avoid having my period for my honeymoon and wedding. However I've been spotting for over a week. How can I make it stop? It seems to be getting a little lighter as I progress towards the darkest blue pills, but I'd really like it to be over with completely and I'd prefer not to have this happen again in two weeks when I skip the next pack of placebo pills. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I wish I would have seen that before skipping both times (then and now). However, my OBGYN told me to do it the way I did where you skip the placebo pills and now I won't stop spotting. I have to skip next month as well so I think I'll do it the way that's suggested here, but at the moment, I'm having terrible side effects; tired all the time, but having trouble sleeping, lowered sex drive, headaches, emotional, and the ever present spotting (although that FINALLY seems to be stopping). Will doing it the way you recommend help alleviate these effects?
