Options after baby?

Hello again ladies :)
I'm back again with some new questions... I just recently had my first child, a son, on June 12th. It's only two weeks into the game but I'm wondering about what to use for birth control once hubby and I get back into the swing of things together. I had a Nova-T IUD (copper) before we got pg and it was great up until the last couple months (bad cramping).
Anyway, I'm thinking I'd like to try either the mini-pill (since it doesn't affect breast milk supply), the IUD again (hoping my body will like it better and not cramp after this baby) or the NuvaRing.
What were your experiences with birth control post-baby? What did you use? What did you like, what didn't work for you and why? Any suggestions or insights are more than welcomed!
Thanks in advance :)

Hi jennc1123, welcome back!

Hi jennc1123,
My DH and I used condoms after the births of each of our 3 kids. It has worked well for us.
I started using the mini-pill, Errin, the generic for Ortho Micronor, when my youngest was 18 months old (still breastfeeding). It made my periods much lighter but I did have for 10 to 11 day periods, which got annoying. Also, like Jill said, it does move your periods around. I would get periods ranging from 24 to 38 days, usually every 32 to 38 days most of the time.
Hope you find something that works for you. Congratulations on your new baby!
