Hi everyone. I'm new to these forums and was hoping to get some advice since my doctor is on vacation.
I've been on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo and just started my 4th month. I'm going on a getaway with my significant other in a couple days and was supposed to start my period on Sunday so I decided to skip the placebos and start a new pack to skip my period this cycle.
I took the second white pill yesterday morning but yesterday afternoon I got what I think is my period unless something else is going on. It's definitely lighter flow/darker color and with minor cramps.
Has anyone else had this happen? I've heard of people getting their period after about 42 days taking OTCL consecutively, but not getting their period when taking two packs back to back...
Thanks so much for your help!
EDIT: I just read the Taking Your Pill section and read the section about delaying a period one week by taking phase threes back to back. (Wish I had read that before I started the white pills). I've taken 3 white pills so far...Can I switch over to the Phase 3 blue ones to get back on track??

Sorry, Celtics.
Once the bleeding has started, I don't believe there is anything that can be done to stop it.
Thanks for your response! I was afraid of that... So do you think I should just continue with the pills (whites, then blues, then greens) this cycle?
And the bleeding will eventually stop, right??
And yes, your period should eventually stop! :) Hopefully in a normal, for you, amount of time.
Have a good vacation!
Hi celtics2006, welcome!

Thanks so much CL-Dancer! I'm actually leaving on Thursday so I guess I don't have enough time... Without giving TMI :), the flow is just like it is on the last day or two of a period so it feels like it won't last long but since I've never tried to skip a period before, I could be completely wrong. Maybe he won't notice..
(I'm really glad I found these boards. I've been reading through a lot of the older posts and there's so much good info on there...)
