IUD question

I am getting my IUD removed tomorrow. I'm a little scared as the insertion part hurt real bad. My husband is concerned that if we have sex 2 days prior that there is a chance I will become pregnant. Has anyone heard of this?

You didn't say if it was the Mirena or non-hormonal IUD that you have..
I'm not sure about how Mirena would work..but I know it is possible to get pregnant if you have the non-hormonal IUD removed. The reason for that is because there haven't been any hormones in your body stopping you from ovulating, hence, if it is the right time of the month, yes you can get pregnant.
