How do I change the time I take my Pill?

This is my first month on the Pill - I'm taking Aviane (generic form of Alesse). I'm almost 1/2 way through my first pack, and I want to change the time of day I take it because I feel kind of nauseated for several hours after I take it and get headaches sometimes. How do I do that without messing anything up - is it okay to just take it later in the day, or would that lessen the effectiveness? I currently take it at 4:30pm, and I'd like to take it at midnight instead (right before I go to bed). So I guess my question is, do I take two one day (one at 4:30, and one at midnight) and then continue taking it at midnight, or do I gradually take it later and later each day until I'm taking it at midnight, or is it okay to just take it at 4:30 one day and midnight the next?
Sorry for all the questions, lol! This is my first time on any kind of hormonal birth control, and I'm paranoid that I'm going to get pregnant, so I want to make absolutely positively sure that I'm doing everything right!
Thanks!

Hi sammybabymama, welcome!

Wow, thanks Jill! That was a very detailed response - exactly the information I was looking for. :) Thank you!
On another note, I'm actually thinking about possibly either switching to Nuvaring or going off hormonal bc altogether after this cycle. I'm breastfeeding (my DS is 6 months old), and I did notice a pretty significant drop in my milk supply when I started Aviane (which my midwife warned me could happen before she prescribed it to me). On her advice, I'm trying some herbal remedies to boost my supply back up, but if it doesn't help, I'm going to discontinue this pill after this pack is finished.
Of course, that leaves me with a bunch MORE questions, like is it best to finish out the pack when you go off the pill, am I protected at all during the placebo week if I don't start a new pill pack when the inactive pills are finished, and questions about NuvaRing...but I think I'll start another thread about all of that. :)
Anyway, thanks again for your help!
