Need feedback from NuvaRing users plz!

I'm thinking of switching from the Pill (Aviane/Alesse) to NuvaRing when I finish this pill pack next week, and I'd really like to hear from others who've tried NuvaRing. What did you find are the pros and cons of this method? Did it work/not work for you? Were there any side effects that were really bothersome? Did it regulate your cycles pretty well, like the Pill does? (that's a big one for me).

And, if there are any nursing moms here who've used NuvaRing, can you tell me if it decreased your milk supply?

Thanks in advance!!

I've been a satisfied ring user for the last 3 1/2 years (actually more than that now).

I am on my 4 or 5th month of the ring and am fairly satisfied with it. It is much easier to manage than the pill was and it doesn't seem to bother DH. My real only issue with it is the loss of libido, which seems to be my big problem with all hormonal b/c. My periods are lighter than the pill and that is nice. Don't know about the nursing tho.

Thank you all for responding! My midwife went ahead and called in a prescription for the Ring for me - I'm going to try it for this month and then have an office visit with her to check my blood pressure (it was elevated during the second half of my pregnancy) and if all is well I'll get another script for it. I'm happy to say that I've had great success boosting my milk supply back up with herbs (fenugreek and blessed thistle) even while still taking Aviane (Alesse), but honestly, the herbs themselves are expensive, so if I can tolerate the Ring well without it affecting my milk supply like the Pill has been, I'll be much happier.

Thanks again for all of the responses - this board is amazing! So much information! :)
