About 3 years ago I was on Depo-Provera, the needle. This method of bc was great, I never got my period, but unfortunately it was taking a toll on my skin. I started breaking out after being on the needle for about a year. So...my doctor decided it would be best for me to switch to the pill, Allese. This particular pill actually helps your skin as well. But, I've been on the pill now for about 3 years and I'm getting sick of my period visiting every 3 weeks. It sux. I've heard of this new pill, not sure of the name, that you still take every day but you only get your period 4 times a year. Does anyone know if that pill is good/bad for your skin? Also, are there any side effects with that pill, such as prolonged bleeding? I know for the first few months that I was on the needle I had spotting, just curious if that is the case with this as well.

The pill you are referring to is called Seasonale.
Hi. I'm 40 and have developed bad cystic acne in the last 3 years. I am not on any type of BC. My new gyn has rxd me Seasonale for my skin and to stop my periods. He told me to take it without breaks at all.
I am starting after my next period in a few days.
