I am currently taking yasmin but my insurance company doesn't discount it any and its starting to hit into my pay a bit too much. I am considering changing to another type of pill but there really isn't much research out there as to which ones tend to work the best. Please help me out with just what kind of pill you have and any side effects or problems. i would much appriciate it!

I too am currently taking Yasmin and am very satisfied with it, but I have also had good results w/ Ortho Tri Cyclen and generic versions thereof. Because I'm bipolar though, I will avoid triphasic pills in the future (Yasmin has been better), and if my insurance ever changes to it, I will try Ortho cyclen.

this is tough, because what's good for someone else might not be good for you, but i also like to do my research, so i understand. i ahven't had tremendous luck with any, and i've been on several. currently loestrin 24-my mood swings are better on this than anything else. there is a website- www.askakpatient.com, you put in the name of what you a re looking for, and it gives you ratings from people that have used it. it doens't mean it will work the same for you, but you can get an idea of what side effects are more common at least with some pills. good luck.

There is no research for what works best because in truth, we all react to the pill differently--that's why there are so many to choose from.
