NuvaRing - Question about Side Effects?

I started NuvaRing five days ago (on Saturday), after switching from my first month on Aviane (Alesse). Since I started Alesse five weeks ago, I've lost about 8 lbs, which is nice. :) But I'm noticing that I have a bothersome amount of nausea during the day, and headaches too - not severe migraine type headaches, but annoying ones nonetheless. It seems like the headaches/nausea have gotten worse since starting NuvaRing. Is this something I can expect to go away once my body adjusts? If so, how long does that usually take? I know I'm still very new to NuvaRing. I guess I just didn't expect these kinds of side effects, especially the nausea, since it's not something I'm taking by mouth (I know that sounds silly, but it seems like there should be less side effects since the hormones are absorbed through the vagina). I thought that NuvaRing had a lowered incidence of side effects since it's less estrogen and delivered locally - or am I incorrect in thinking that? I thought hormones delivered locally (like Mirena) had less of an impact on your whole body than ones taken by mouth.

Also, I'm noticing a big decrease in my sex drive and a lot of dryness down there....will that maybe go away? Is there anything I can do about it? I hate having to fish for the bottle of lube, on the rare occasions that I'm actually in the mood! :(

The nausea might ease with time.
