Is it ok to skip a week of birth control

I have had one pregnancy with a C.-section delivery. The doctor put me on birth control after 6 weeks. I am taking Tri-Sprintec 28. Two weeks before I'm due to start my period I'm having PMS. The next week my body is achy and I feel as if my period really wants to start giving me severe PMS. Then the third week I'm finally having my period. It is a normal period. I feel relieved when it does start. What if I skipped my Tri-Sprintec 28 that third week and have my period threfore moving my period up one week this month? Then start a new pack of pills the following week? We are wanting to try to have another baby next year. I just don't want to mess my body up worse. What would you suggest?

You may want to talk to your doctor about switching to a different pill if it's been several months and you're still having the increased PMS toward the end of the cycle.
