Need some advice....

Ok this may be a long one.. so I apologize ahead of time, lots of questions and issues on my mind right now.. hopefully none are stupid questions.

Ok first thing, I am in new relationship and it is starting to lead into a physical relationship. I want to be prepared and take care of things and cannot risk a pregnancy right now. I have never been on birth control because that really hasn't been an issue before (I am virgin in mid 20's). I have read MANY of the posts here to get some advice on what I might consider. So I am looking for advice from those that are more experienced.
Here are some factors that may need to be considered:
I want to avoid weight gain-I just lost 80 lbs plus in last 5 years cannot go through that again.

I have adult acne and would like that to be helped with bc pills.

I also have some facial hair (ewww) but been test for PCOS and don't have it. I have heard that bc pills can help with that.. wondering others experiences with that.

I don't want to have children for a while... at least 2 years maybe more.

I have a family history of heart disease.. grandpa died of heart attack, grandma had stroke, I personally had high blood pressure in teens, but is better now.

I am not used to taking pills-have crazy schedule where I work either early am (6:30) or pm. Yet I don't know that I would be comfortable with inserting nuvaring??

I would appreciate any help I can get. I am going to schedule yearly pap test for this week and would like to cover this issue as well, but want some ideas before I go in.

Thanks for your reply, it has helped me to clarify some things. I did read through the faqs on the message board before I posted the ?'s but wanted some peoples opinions based on their experiences. I am definately interested in NuvaRing, but was unsure of the relative ease of insertion and how well it stays in place. The IUDs sound great, but I might have problems with insurance coverage as they just started covering birth contol pills recently and won't cover an IUD. Pretty much with the pills and my insurance, you must have an underlying medical problem for them to cover such as acne or irregular periods. I am also from a religious family that is against using bcp unless it is for other medical purposes, so an IUD would be the least likely method until I am more out on my own or married (long story). We definately would use a condom, even if I am on some sort of birth control. I just want some back up protection along with maybe some side benefits like help with acne (so tired of it) and maybe the hair thing (ditto). Thanks again, and others please post if you have some experiences that might help me, I really look forward to hearing what people say!

The ring is really easy to use--I've been using it for 4 years in December.
