Birth control+no condom+HELP ASAP!!!!

I've been with my boyfriend for 2 months and we just recently started having sex. We use a condom most of the time but there a few times that it isn't used. I'm on birth control and have been for a couple years. My question is, am I just as protected from pregnancy during the non active pill week as I am during the active pill week? Should I be more careful during the week I'm not taking an active pill? Any advice would be appreciated.

Also if I am on birth control and we are in a commited relationship and plan on spending the rest of our lives together (yes I know this sounds fast but we've known eachother for over a year before we started dating) is a condom really needed all the time. We do about 80% of the time but it feels so much better without. Also if he doesn't wear a condom should he always pull out or is it ok for him to be inside me when he orgasims.

PLease respond and let me know

Hi,

I have been on the pill for two years, and have asked the same questions myself. My understanding is that during the non active week you are still protected against pregnancy, the only time you aren't protected is when you forget to take a pill. There is no need to wear a condom unless you need protection for STI's, so if you're 100% sure neither you or your partner have an STI, its perfectly fine to have sex without a condom. (before I had sex with my partner of 2 and a half years without a condom, we both tested for sti's).

Hope this helps!

You are protected during your week of placebo pills.
