Hey there.
My doctor put me on Aleese back in November and this was the first BC pill I had ever been on. From November until about February I was very sad all the time and lots of thigns made me cry ( and I never used to cry!) Anyways, I saw the doctor about that and she said that its normal when starting a pill, and so it went away, However, every month after taking about the first 7 pills in my pack I get this same feeling again for about 4-5 days. During these days I there is nothing is partilcuar that makes me sad or fustrated in, just everything! Nohting makes me happy, I could jsut lay there and cry at any moment. In fact, there are several times in a day that I find myself staring off in space and tears are coming to my eyes. So, once again I went back to the doctor and she said that this is normal and that even if I switched BC pills I would still feel this way and that many otehrs are liek this as well. I asked several friends nad none of them feel this way, does anyone else? Any help would be great! thanks.

It wouldn't hurt to change pills and see what happened.

I was on Alesse two years ago and didn't last very long. I was very depressed -- cried all the time for no reason at all. I also had very bad insomnia on Alesse. These side effects went away very quickly after I stopped the pill, and when I started a new one (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo), my response was very different. I was still pretty weepy on it, though, so I went off that one too... and I just decided to start trying pills again -- I definitely think that you could find one that will work for you -- especially if you are not sad *all* the time, but just on certain days during the month. The only thing is, that it might take some experimenting, because everyone reacts differently to different pills. I have tons of friends who love Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, but it just didn't work for me -- and other people absolutely love Alesse, so it seems like there's no real rhyme or reason to it at all. I don't know if this helps, just my two cents...
