Switching BC Methods

I am currently on Ovcon35 and have been thinking about talking to my gyno about switching to NuvaRing. I am not very consistent with taking my pill at the exact same time every day, I normally just take it before I go to bed, which varies. What are some differences you have noticed from switching to oral contraceptives to the NuvaRing? I have been on BC for 5 years due to Endometriosis and just recently became sexually active. I am just concerned about the side effects from NuvaRing, although I am hoping there really won't be any since I have been on the pill for awhile. Thanks!

Hi bananabelle,
I'm in the same boat as you, but I'm on Ovcon 50. I wanted an IUD, but my GYNO wouldn't recommend one since I haven't had kids yet. :( Oh well, so he's leaving me some samples of the ring. My other choice was the patch, but I decided against that. I had some of the same ?? you did. Like just exactly how hard is it to put in and take out? Can you feel the darn thing? Seems like you'd be able to. I'm picking up my samples on Friday. I won't start using the ring for another 3 weeks. I just started a new pack of pills, so I'm going to finish these up to try to keep myself some what "normal". I just hope after being on the pill for 16 years my cycle doesn't get too out of whack!
I've been a very satisfied ring user for almost 4 years.
