I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing in order that I can have Christ, and become one with him. ~Phillippians 3:8-9~
My Child,
>Everything in your life (family, career, ministry) is a gift from me. Since you pour your time and your heart into these things, you natually get a lot out of them. But I don't want you to believe that these things define you. No matter how important they seem, they are merely things that you do, not who you are.
I want to be the passion that defines your life. I want you to know who you are in me--an incredibly loved child of God. You are always accepted, always protected, always secure in me. So when someone asks, "What do you do?" instead of saying, "I'm a mother," or "I'm a computer analyst," say instead, "I am God's child." That's the truest answer.
The Source of Your Identity,
>God
