Stopping BC and side effects

I stopped taking my bc about three weeks ago or so. I was only taking the pill to regulate my periods. I was having terrible side effects on the pill. Weight gain and constant yeast infections. I stopped taking the pills and now have the headaches, dizziness, feeling of being bloated, nasuea, constipation with bouts of extreme diarrhea. Mood swings, etc.....There is no way that I am pregnant. My tubes are tied and have been for nearly five years.
Has anyone else out there had these kind of side effects when stopping the pill? I did have the withdrawl period right after I stopped. Bled for about 2 days, was pretty light and tolearble. I am due to get my period next week but don't have any signs as though I am going to start. Can anyone out there shed some light on this for me? I can't find anything online about side effects and stopping the pill.
Thanks for listening

Could it be PMS?
I hope it gets better next cycle.
Apricot.
Getting off the pill can be a lot like starting it.
BUMP
I've been off the pill for over two weeks now--bloated and headaches and just not feeling myself. Not going back on it because doctor (neuro) wanted me off it because migraines, and have Paragard IUD now. Any suggestions on how to ease the withdrawl of hormones out of my body? Anyone have personal experience of how long it took? I really hope I'm not bloated for months...ick. Thanks!
I'm afraid this is one of those things you have to ride out.
I went off of birth control and it's probably been about a month or so now. Unfortunetly i was stupid and stopped on the third row of active pills instead of waiting out the pack and getting a period AND I never marked down anywhere when I actually stopped the damn things. Last weekend was very rough for me. I finally went back thru the calendar and figured out a rough estimate as to when I stopped. Realizing it has only been slightly over a month.
I too went thru numerous side effects of stopping. However, as of this week I am finally starting to feel back to myself. I no longer have the headaches. I still get dizzy but not as often and not as severe. The pain in my left side has gone away and my bowel movements are finally regular again. I'm also not tired anymore. I was soooooooo tired on the pills that I thought there was something wrong with me - diabetes, thyroid problem, etc....Had a full workup at the doc's and they found nothing. Birth control really screwed me up and I do not desire to ever go back on them.
During all of this I ended up taking three pregnancy tests (just to make sure). Even though my tubes are tied it has happened to others in the past so that was nerve wracking as well.
I'm terribly sorry for the long post but wanted you to know that your not alone and this will get better for you. I still have not gotten the visit from dear aunt flow but the longer I go without the happier I am. Hang in there!!!
