Do I need EC? Put in NuvaRing late...

Hi ladies,
I've posted here with questions so many times over the past few months - I'm sorry to keep having so many, lol.
Ok, so late last Saturday night I took out my NuvaRing (I left it in for 4 weeks - I'm doing the 4 wks in/1 wk out regimen). I was supposed to put a new one in several hours ago (late Saturday evening), and I completely forgot until just now (at 2:00 am Sunday morning). The thing is, I can't remember *exactly* what time I took it out last week. How important is it to put it in at the exact time you took it out at the week before? That was my first month using the Ring and I didn't realize that it was so important to put it in at the same exact time; I thought it just had to be on the same day. But now I'm a little worried. I know I took last week's Ring out pretty late in the evening - if I had to guess, I'd say it was around 10:30-11pm or so - it really couldn't have been much earlier than that and it may have been closer to midnight. So basically, I put the new Ring in about 3 1/2 hours late, max. I did have sex last night though - does this put me at a heightened risk of pregnancy? Should I take EC to reduce the chance that I might ovulate in the next few days? (I have a full pack of Aviane birth control pills - and if I remember right, that brand can be used as EC...?). And do I need backup for the next 7 days?
Thanks!!

Hi sammybabymama, welcome back!

Thanks so much, Jill! You really put my mind at ease - your posts are always so informative. :) We're going to use backup for 7 days, and I've decided not to use EC. And I downloaded the NuvaRing reminder thing to prevent this from ever happening again!
Thanks again!
Hello! I was just wondering what Jill told you because I have the same question, but her comment isn't showing up.
