Mini Pill Question

I was on Depo for about two years, and switched to the mini pill (orthro micronor) last November. I got my first period after stopping Depo this past June. Up until then, I didn't have any problems with spotting, but recently I have been having a little. I have noticed that I get minor cramps when I am spotting - they last about 2 hours or so then go away. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Also, my husband and I have decided to try to conceive a baby after my supply of birth control runs out this November. I am wondering if there is going to be a time period after I stop where I won't be able to conceive. I know that they say that you can get pregnant right after you stop using the mini pill, but was wondering if anyone has experience in this? In addition, will the Depo be fully out of my system at that point (a year after I stopped getting the shots)? I'm worried that we're going to try to get pregnant and then be a little disappointed when it doesn't happen right away because of possible hormones left in my system.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Hi there,

You might find that the depo may still have an influence on your system when you stop the mini-pill.
