I had an IUD put in at my 6 week PP check-up...had the normal cramps/bleeding while my body was adjusting.

If what you are concerned about it the increase in bleeding and cramps, that is normal with an IUD. Which kind do you have? Is it the copper Paragard? This one is know to cause an increase in bleeding an cramps, especially the first three months. My first period with my Paragard was over a week, very heavy, and had cramps as well. Spotting, bleeding, and cramps even in between periods is not uncommon in the first few months.

If you are worried I would go to a doctor anyway you can. Have you checked for your strings? That may ease your mind that it has expelled. I hope you feel better! If the strings are there, then it definately hasn't expelled. If they are not, then it may have, but not 100%. There are cases of women not being able to find the strings, them going back up into the cervix, etc. If that is the case then you need to go to the doctor.

As long as the strings are still there, I wouldn't worry quite yet. If you are still having bleeding problems after three/four months, or hubby cannot find the strings, then I would go to the doctor. Did they want to schedule you for a check up at a certain interval? I know 6 weeks after is rather common.

It sounds like you are just having your monthly period to me. I wouldn't be too worried.
