Hello ladies,
I hope I'm not intruding too much but I am looking for some advice on how I can delay my period by one week. My GP doctor has given me a pack of birth control pills and told me to start taking them around cd12. I unfortunately had all 3 of my children with me at the appointment so I really only got to half listen to her. Since doing a little research on the internet, I'm confused and would love any suggestions you could provide.
My cycle is 28 days. I'm currently on cd1. I ovulate on cd14. I'm not currently on birth control pills, nor have I been on any since 8 years ago. I do not require any sort of "birth control" since my husband has had the big "V" after the birth of our third child a year and a half ago. I'm strictly going on the pill in order to delay my period by one week because we are going on a family vacation to Jamaica in December and AF is expected to show up smack in the middle of the trip. It would be in everyones best interest for her to show up a week later. I would like to work on delaying it this cycle so that I'm not fooling around with it all too close to our trip.
As mentioned, my doctor suggested starting my pack (She gave me a sample pack of Alesse - 28) on cd12 which would be Saturday Sept 30th since today is CD1 for me. To start, that is not a sunday so I don't know if that would be right...maybe it doesn't matter??? Also, I'm wondering if starting the pack will do anything since I literally ovulate 2 days later?? Basically, I'm clueless and looking for help.
Thanks for your time,
Julia
