Hello Everyone -
I was diagnosed a year ago with heart disease at the age of 39.This, of course, increases my daughters' risks of developing heart disease also. With all the reports of risks of heart attack, stroke and blood clots from birth control pills/patches, I cannot find any information on how people with risks of heart disease should handle the risks.
My oldest is getting married soon and needs to go on b/c. We have an appointment with a gyn. in a few weeks, but I would like to go in informed. Has anyone dealt with this issue? I am on Plavix and aspirin to prevent blood clots in my stents. In my mind, putting her on a low dose of daily aspirin seems like a logical way to cut down on some of the risks. If anyone has dealt with this subject in any way, your input would be greatly appreciated. She is not and has never been a smoker. I wonder if she should avoid hormone related b/c completely, but the other methods all increase risk of pregnancy and she is no where near ready for that.
Thanks for any input - insights anyone can offer -
